What
is Pranic Healing?
Pranic Healing is a highly tested system of energy-based techniqes developed by Master Choa Kik Sui that utilizes "prana" to balance, harmonize and transfor the body's energy processes. "Prana" is a Sanskrit work meaning, "life force." This invisible bio-energy or vital energy keeps the body alive and maintains a state of good health. In acupuncture, the Chinese refer to this subtle energy as "Chi." It is also called "Rhua" or the "Breath of Life" in the Old Testament.

Pranic Healing can be used for
Common ailments ranging from headaches, colds and flu to sports injuries, TMJ, stress, anxiety and long-term chronic conditions such as hypertension, diabletes and heart disease.
It is a complimentary approach that adds to the practice of medicine. It is not intended to supplant or usurp allopathic medicine.When both systems are used in an integrative manner, healing takes place more completely and quickly.

Over the years and during my own transition, I started looking at alternative
ways to get healthy. Many times they just "showed up" and I was open
to them. Some things I tried and I didn't connect with, others had a major impact
on my awareness, my growth, and my continued transformation as there is
nowhere to get to but the present moment.
These modalities were The Nia Technique, www.nianow.com, Reiki, meditation, and Pranic Healing. These allowed for my spirit to awaken and connect to a larger
whole. I didn't realize that I wasn't really in my body until I started praciticing these modalities. I have always been physical skiing, swimming, biking,
backpacking, kayaking, lifting weights. But I had never really been connected
in my body.
As I began to experience this sensation, I could feel the
present moment. I could hear my unique wisdom as everything around me began to
slow down. I could be inside my body and see a bigger picture, see many more possibilities
and opportunities in life.

By
allowing myself to slow down, I was not letting the fear control me. I was giving in to the present moment. Embracing the chaos is actually
a creative process - relax within the chaos and flow into the creativity. In this
state I can take risks, trust myself, feel safe in my connection with myself.
This is a feeling of harmony and balance.
Nia
is a somatic practice that combines concepts found in yoga, the healing
arts, martial arts and dance. It is a lifestyle practice promoting self-discovery
and self-healing through movement expression. Nia is a fun way to experience lightness
that can easily be transferred into daily life.
The
combination of Life Coaching, Reiki,
Pranic Healing, and Nia is something I am continuing to explore. For myself I have found them to be complimentary and effective. It is my vision to share what I have learned as I continue
to be a student in my practice of living a healthy life. As I learn more, I will
update and share with you my insights and experiences. |
