I
have been a life coach since 2000, working with individuals in all areas of their lives, personal, relationship and professional. Before this, I was already on my own personal growth path. Some of my previous work has centered around working with children and families, specifically organizing and facilitating experiences to develop team building and communication skills. Another previous employment experience was working as a counselor for a residential school, where I co-led teenagers on 2-week wilderness trips.

During these years, I was learning about myself and acquiring tools for living a lighter, fuller life. After much suffering and unhappiness within myself, I learned ways to move past this. I found ways to be safer for myself and to stop the "beating up" of my spirit.

Upon moving to Sandpoint, Idaho, in 1994 from Boulder, Colorado, I continued this work in my new community with families, and schools. I started a family of my own. Over the course of seven years, we traveled as a family across the country providing other professionals with experiential-rooted personal development experiences. The most significant gift in this was observing and experiencing the transformation which took place in the participants' lives. This is truly a thing of beauty to be treasured.

In 2005,
my partner and I decided to split up. It was not an easy decision as we had put much effort into trying to make our relationship work. But the split was a catalyst for me to really move into my spirit. What became clear to me was that I had developed a pattern of losing myself in relationships and life. I was so good at giving my spirit away that I didn't have much left for me.

After this major transition, I embarked on my own inner journey to live my life. This finally put me in the driver's seat, allowing me to be the source of creating what I want. Here I was an accomplished life coach with great tools, and now I was presented with the opportunity to apply these tools to my own life. In the past, I had used my negative life events to be a victim and beat myself up. Now I am able to look to the gifts I was given in this situation. Today, this transformational journey continues in a much lighter, more creative and fun way.

This transition and change in my life's context (from being in a committed 11-year relationship to becoming a single parent) made me realize how much I had learned and grown. I have a choice to be independent, to be free, to walk with confidence, to love and care about how I live my life!

The process of divorce provided me the opportunity to make some very real life changes.  I had already been exploring different healing modalities for years in conjunction with my coaching.  I had found out personally that some of these modalities were very complimentary to coaching.  Energetic healing allowed me to move old patterns out of my physical and energy "body" much faster and more effectively.  I became a reiki practitioner at first, and soon afterward completed a year-long shamanic medicine wheel course with The Four WInds Society, www.fourwindssociety.com.

I was introduced to Pranic Healing at the end of 2007.   I researched all that I could on this modality, taking a course once each month since March 2008 to learn and hone in on my healing skills.   My excitement over Pranic Healing derives from its simplicity and effectiveness. I can apply Pranic Healing over the phone with my coaching clients and have experienced faster, better results.

This experiential process has gifted me with focus in regards to my career: the what and how I want to contribute. I know I can now be of service and share these valuable tools and life lessons, while also drawing from what I have learned with others.

I believe we all are evolving and growing and what is exciting to me is that with a coach we can transcend and transform our lives so much quicker. Olympic athletes use coaches because they are always trying to transform and having a coach makes it that much more efficient and effective. A life coach can see things we may otherwise have a hard time seeing. A coach can help us get in touch with our inner wisdom, our own truth. How freeing and easy! Why would I want to struggle for years with something I could resolve and move on from in a quicker, easier and more efficient way?

There is so much action in taking control of your own life instead of waiting for someone to do it for you. I had been doing that for years and was stuck. Until I stepped in and claimed my life for myself, I never felt grounded and in my own power. In being grounded in myself, I fill up my tank and find I have more to give and receive from this beautiful life.

When you go through life's journey, you have to take care of yourself. We life in such a fast-paced society, constantly busy with our work, our children's schedules, all the choices we are presented with daily. Many times we find ourselves at the end of the day, week, month, season, years...and we ask ourselves, where did the time go? Where am I? We have to stay connected with ourselves, healthy and vibrant, so that we can live connected to all that is. That, to me, is what life is all about.

I invite you to explore this further by offering a complimentary 45-minute coaching session. You may email me to try it out and see if it is something you might benefit from.
